The name “Mother” can mean different things to different people. The title of Mother can be given to a caregiver, someone who offers love and support and imparts advice and wisdom when you need guidance. A Mother can be a biological relative or somebody who has taken you under their wing and cared for you.
With Mother’s Day on the horizon (Sunday 14th March), you may have started to think about ways in which you can show your appreciation for your Mum during the pandemic, whether you're out on the road or stuck indoors.
Flowers
Traditional and thoughtful, flowers are always a beautiful gift to show you care. Having flowers in your home not only brightens the environment but they also have proven benefits for mental health, something that may be affected during the lockdown.
Here are some high street options you may consider ordering flowers from for home delivery:
Alternatively, support florists in your local area by searching to see if they offer home delivery. You can certainly place an order online from your truck cab.
Breakfast in Bed
You may have followed a Mother’s Day tradition of cooking breakfast in bed for your loved one. This year due to lockdown restrictions, you may not be able to. Instead, you may be thinking about ordering some food from a delivery service and sending it to their address, a great way of helping to support local restaurants whilst still following the guidelines. Uber Eats offers an option to “make it a gift”, so you can send your order directly to their door with a special note from you!
Make a Pamper Set
This year a spa day isn’t an option. Instead, bring the spa to your loved one by putting together a pamper set. Simply pack together a few essential items; facemasks, bubble bath, bath bombs, bath salts, candles, moisturiser, body wash, hair mask and lip balm. You could even go as far as to make a playlist of relaxing music to really bring those spa vibes home!
You can normally collect pamper products like this from a local supermarket to pop outside their front door. However, if you’re out on the road, alternatives are available from online retailers such as Beauty Bay.
We hope you and your loved one have an incredible Mother’s Day despite all of the restrictions that are currently in place!
